2.1 Procedure

Title : Equipment for data capture in the field - waste collection (RFI)
Description : This document presents a market survey (RFI) initiated by the Waste Management and Recycling Agency in Oslo (REG). The survey is part of a larger project to modernize REG's ICT core systems and improve data capture in connection with waste collection. The City of Oslo has ambitious goals for climate and the environment, including becoming a zero-emission city and being a leader in waste prevention and material recycling. To achieve these goals, REG must optimize its operations through increased and improved data collection. The main purpose of this market survey is to obtain information from suppliers about possible technical solutions for data collection in the field. The goal is to identify innovative and efficient solutions that can replace or supplement today's manual data entry, and that can be integrated with REG's new customer and operational system. Through this survey, REG wants to provide a solid basis for the upcoming procurement of equipment for data capture, and thus ensure that the agency can realize its ambitions for a data-driven, customer-oriented and efficient waste collection.
