Description

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire (Art. 43(1)(b) of Directive 2014/23/EU, Art. 72(1)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU, Art. 89(1)(b) of Directive 2014/25/EU) The existing supplier's longer contract engagement (until June 2024) and the additional spend for workflow and asset management (lot 1), middleware and monitoring (lot 2), business intelligence (lot 3), finance systems (lot 4), enterprise content management (lot 5) and customer applications (lot 6), have become necessary as it was required for UÉ to continue with the existing supplier for IT support, maintenance and development services of Maximo, Click, Syclo, Sharepoint and Alfresco until the newly procured solution (following conclusion of tender ref. 21/044) is fully integrated. The change of supplier prior to the full transition to a new supplier under the new framework would have caused (1) significant inconvenience and disruption to UÉ operational requirements and (2) substantial duplication of costs.
