Description

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire (Art. 43(1)(b) of Directive 2014/23/EU, Art. 72(1)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU, Art. 89(1)(b) of Directive 2014/25/EU. The Contractor's engagement for a longer operational period have become necessary to allow for continued operations and faciliate the handover to Asset Operations Wastewater, and where the change of contractor would have caused (1) cross liability risks in relation to changing the contractor responsible for running the relevant WWTP and associated pump stations, (2) significant inconvenience and disruption to Uisce Éireann operational requirements, (3) substantial duplication of costs (e.g. training, mobilization, data collection and analysis methodology), and (4) loss of detailed knowledge and expertise associated with running the interested WWTPS before Uisce Éireann operational re-organisation is fully implemented. Total contract value before the modifications (value excluding VAT) €28,003,919.00, total contract value after the modifications (value excluding VAT) €31,209,207.00
