Description : The subject of this procurement procedure is the technical and logistical support to the activities of the European Migration Network (EMN). The EMN was established in 2008 and is an EU Member States network of migration and asylum experts who work together to provide objective, comparable policy-relevant information and knowledge on emerging issues relating to asylum and migration in Europe. The EMN also provides a secure platform where various clusters of practitioners or policymakers exchange information and work together, and hosts a series of operational tools which facilitate Member States work on all aspects of migration and asylum across the EU, including return and integration assistance, statelessness, information and awareness raising campaigns, etc.

2.1.4 General information

Additional information : The Contractor shall assist the Commission in the organisation of the work of the EMN. This requires a pro-active cooperation with the Commission and the EMN National Contact Points (EMN NCPs) of Member States and Observer Countries. In line with Council Decision 2008/381/EC, the Contractor shall organise the day-to-day operation of the EMN; implement the daily activities of the EMN; coordinate the input from EMN NCPs; manage content of and access to the EMN Information Exchange System (EMN-IES); organise and participate in meetings, workshops, conferences and capacity building events, ensure follow-up; draft various types of documents related to migration and asylum, coordinate and compile inputs from several relevant actors, as well as prepare compilations and syntheses of reports and studies. In addition and for the purpose of the implementation of the Pact on Migration and Asylum ( https://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/policies/migration-and-asylum/pact-migration-and-asylum_en ), the Contractor shall organise several EU-level events per year; organise and participate in EU-level Pact implementation capacity-building activities and workshops and produce ‘comparative overviews. --In case of unavailability or disruptions in the functioning of the electronic means of communication provided in Section 5.1.11 in the last 5 calendar days before the time limit for receipt indicated in Section 5.1.12, the contracting authority reserves the right to extend this time limit and publish the extension at the Internet address provided in Section 5.1.11, without a preceding publication of a corrigendum to this notice. Economic operators interested in this procurement are invited to subscribe to the call for tenders at the address in Section 5.1.11 in order to get notified when new information or documents are published.
