This notice is only used to make the intended award known to the market in advance, with the aim of giving the interested party the opportunity to raise any objections (under penalty of forfeiture of rights). The proposed award concerns the conclusion of an agreement concerning the design, realization and delivery of a water cooled whole body MR gradient coil with integrated resistive shims, which shall meet or outperform specifications as listed; Rated B0-field strength 14.0T, Inner diameter 600 mm, Outer diameter 804 mm, Gradient strength (X,Y,Z) 110 mT/m, Gradient slew-rate (X,Y,Z) 260 T/m/s, steady-state DC current, all axes simultaneously 370 A, peak current 1200 A, Resistive shims (10A), 13 channels, including Z4. The design of the offered gradient coil shall be directly derived from a proven ultra-high field 11.7T MR system gradient coil. The manufacturer is expected to collaborate with the manufacturer of our 14T HTS magnet system to optimize the design for minimal gradient magnet system interaction. The manufacturer shall include a design optimization from 11.7T to our 14T HTS magnet system as option in the quote. After market research by Radboud University, it turned out that Tesla Engineering is the only one that can meet these conditions. In addition, 'quality' is the only material award criterion for Radboud University and Tesla Engineering achieves the best results through the application of its innovative design and production process. This also means that in the event of a European tender, it is not reasonably expected that there will be a competitive supplier in addition to Tesla Engineering. Al this gives Radboud University the confidence to award the contract to Tesla Engineering. If you (nevertheless) believe that you are able and willing to carry out this assignment and, given the aforementioned condition and assignment description, could also submit a competitive o fer for this purpose, you can object by initiating summary proceedings within no later than 20 calendar days of announcement. This 20-day objection period is an expiry period. If summary proceedings are not instituted in time, Radboud University will be free to proceed with the assignment and you will no longer be able to oppose this, as well as all possible (claim) rights to compensation as well as all other claims that would frustrate the (execution of) the present assignment will lapse.
