Description : Within the European Commission’s Directorate-General Human Resources and Security, Unit HR.D7 is responsible for establishing the policy on the prevention of psychosocial risks (PSR) at work, aiming to establish a structured approach to raise awareness and to equip staff with the right tools to strengthen their resilience. Raising awareness amongst managers plays an essential role in the above approach, given that they would be the first ones to be confronted with a situation that may involve PSR of staff, whether directly or indirectly. This action reflects the Commission’s duty of care, on the one hand, and fulfils the obligations deriving from the applicable provisions and legislation , on the other. The purpose of the new framework contract is therefore to: • prepare and provide tailor-made awareness-raising sessions to managers / staff with a managerial role from specific Directorates General (DGs) and Services, upon their request, concerning the prevention of PSR at work and to promote the mental well-being of staff; • report about any feedback derived from these sessions and possibly recommend preventive follow-up measures in connection to PSR within the concerned DG or Service.
