The database contains compressed, reliable updated intelligence information (news, technical data, pictures and analyses) from open sources about equipment and material, covering military air, space, land, sea and common capacities. Access to the database occurs offline through XML data format and online through personal licences. The contract has a duration of three years, with a total value of 1,721,579 GBP. A concrete assessment has been made that suggests that The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency and the Norwegian Defence ́s need can only be covered by the supplier Jane's Group UK Limited ́s database JDET. The procurement will be carried out as a negotiated procedure cf. FOSA § 5-1 (3), cf. FOSA 5-3 letter c if the performance for technical reasons or for the protection of sole rights can only be performed by a specific supplier.
