The objectives of the activity are to analyse today’s limitations to the usage of S-band for TT&C for Radio-navigation satellites and to propose, study and select updates and protection measures (e.g., advanced antenna technologies, alternative frequencies, and signal processing techniques) that can be implemented in new generations of the Galileo satellites.

The proposed concepts and solutions are expected to be studied and also demonstrated through early breadboarding.
