Description

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire (Art. 43(1)(b) of Directive 2014/23/EU, Art. 72(1)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU, Art. 89(1)(b) of Directive 2014/25/EU). Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of supplier: (1) The supplier provides maintenance for Maximo licensing to support the Maximo application stack for asset and work order mangement and due to exclusive intellectual property rights, no other entity is capable of providing these services, and; (2) it would be technically impossible to utilise an interim system while the new system is being tendered and at the very least would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of costs for Uisce Éireann. An ongoing tender process (Ref:23/053) is currently being run for several Maximo related projects. Total contract value before the modifications (value excluding VAT) €739,696, total contract value after the modifications (value excluding VAT) €1,186,850.47.
