Encyclopædia Britannica contains hundreds of thousands of articles on all major topics as well as a wide selection of biographies and videos. The entries are compiled by experts from around the world, as well as by their own team of editors who all have expertise in their subject areas. All the entries are fact-checked and edited to ensure high standards of readability, reliability and accuracy. Articles are edited for length in order to provide students and other learners and researchers with plenty of background information without overwhelming them. Existing articles are also revised and updated on a regular basis to reflect new developments in those areas of knowledge.
