Title : Taking out rock at Solgård Avfallsplass - concession contract
Description : In order to increase landfill capacity, there is a need to take out rock in the area at Solgård Avfallsplass. MOVAR would like to enter into a contract with the tenderer (in some documents referred to as the 'contractor') the right to take out rock (rocks/masses). The total amount that the tenderer is given the right to take out is in the size of 800,000 m3 solid rock. The mountain that the tenderer takes out will be the supplier's property and can be used or sold as the tenderer wishes. For this the tenderer is expected to pay movar an amount per tonne of rock masses that are removed. With this concession contract – the agreement – MOVAR will give a tenderer permission, over time, to take out rock. The agreement is set up so that the tenderer becomes the owner of the mountain/rock and can utilise it as he pleases, e.g. to sell it at whatever price he succeeds in achieving in the market. The contract will last for several years, both in order to give the necessary time to take out the actual amounts of rock, but also so that the supplier can adapt the call-offs to the market situation. Such a contract that means that the tenderer is given the right to take out rock, is called a concession contract. It is open for tenderers to crush/crush the area, as well as within certain intermediate stores there.
