Description : The police want to acquire a trained search dog for the bomb squad. The requirements for the level of competence for a dog in this service have been tightened compared to other procurements of search dogs. The changes will be marked with text in bold italics. Based on the current composition of dogs in the service, the client wants to acquire a male dog. Dogs for this service require special expertise, and the client will weigh the supplier's competence and previous experience/competence with deliveries of such a trained dog. Offered dogs that are considered relevant will be aptitude tested in week 45. One dog with a completed and passed aptitude test will be contracted for delivery in August 2025. The contracting authority will, in cooperation with the supplier, agree and carry out assessments of the progress of the delivery. The time aspect for such an extensive delivery will be paid in part with 50% of the contract sum at signing, with final settlement at the final approved delivery. Search dogs are trained to respond and mark different types of smell images in different environments. Within the search dog category, dogs are trained to search for, but not limited to, drugs, flammable liquids, explosives, blood, semen, currency, weapons, buried corpses and corpses. The dogs must be able to work in different types of environments such as indoors, outdoors, height, dark, moving surfaces and slippery surfaces. The search dog must withstand the mental stresses this can cause. The breeds used today are mainly based on retriever breeds, spaniel breeds and Malinois. The customer will require final internal approval and confirmation of funding before the contract is entered into.
